Frequently Asked Questions

What types of programs are offered at DIVC?

At DIVC, we offer multiple season options to meet athletes where they are in their volleyball journey.

Premier Season (November–April)
Our Premier Season is designed for athletes who want to play competitive volleyball while maintaining balance with other activities, sports, and family commitments. Teams compete in local tournaments throughout the season and attend one travel tournament in Wisconsin Dells, a favorite among our athletes and families because it combines great competition with a fun experience for players, siblings, and parents.

This season is a great fit for:

  • Beginners looking to learn the game in a more competitive environment

  • Athletes who enjoy volleyball and want to continue developing their skills

  • Multi-sport athletes who do not want the demands of extensive travel

National Season (November–June)
Our National teams are for athletes who are highly committed to volleyball and want to compete at a higher level. National teams travel to compete against strong competition throughout the Midwest and beyond. Past travel locations have included St. Louis, Indianapolis, Sandusky, multiple cities throughout Wisconsin, and Orlando.

National players receive a more extensive tournament schedule and opportunities for advanced development. We also provide support and guidance throughout the college recruiting process for athletes interested in playing at the collegiate level.

Extended Season (May–June)
Our Extended Season provides additional opportunities for athletes who want to continue competing after the traditional club season ends.

Players who participated with DIVC during the fall and winter season may join the Extended Season without attending another tryout. We also hold spring tryouts for new athletes who did not join us in the fall.

This season is ideal for:

  • Families who are new to club volleyball and want to start with a shorter commitment

  • Athletes who discover they want more competitive volleyball after the Premier Season

  • Players looking for additional training and tournament experience

Extended Season tournaments are primarily local, though teams may have opportunities to travel to destinations such as Arizona or Orlando to conclude the season in late June.

What is the cost of the season? How do I pay?

The cost of the season depends on the type of season you are interested in.  Our premier program cost is $2000, our national program is $2800, and our extended season program is $500.  The uniform package is a separate fee of $300 for all programs. We offer payment plans for all families to help ensure affordable, competitive volleyball.

Payments can be made through Zelle or online. If you choose to pay online, just click on the “DIVC Payments” tab at the top of the page.

What is included in the uniform package?

Our full uniform package offers two jerseys, shorts, a warm-up top, a practice t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and volleyball bag.

What is your policy on playing time?

DIVC is a competitive volleyball club. All athletes will receive equal opportunities to learn and develop during practices. Tournament playing time, however, is earned and is based on factors such as performance, effort, attendance, attitude, commitment, team needs, and coach discretion.

While we are committed to developing every athlete, we believe that earning playing time helps players build accountability, resilience, and a strong work ethic. Our goal is to create a positive, competitive environment that challenges athletes to grow both on and off the court.

How do I select the right club when they all seem so similar?

Choosing a volleyball club is about more than teams, location, travel, or cost, it’s about finding the right environment for your athlete to grow.

At DIVC, we are built on the belief that every athlete should be known, coached, and developed as an individual. Our coaches learn players by name and use individualized coaching methods that adapt to different learning styles so athletes can truly improve at their own pace.

We welcome beginners and focus on building confidence, strong fundamentals, and a lasting love for the game that keeps players in volleyball. At the same time, we offer a competitive pathway for committed athletes who want to push their level and pursue college volleyball, something many of our alumni have successfully done.

Our goal is for the gym to feel like a second home: a place where athletes feel comfortable, supported, and challenged to grow. We value a family-like culture, and many of our coaches are former players who returned because of their connection to the club.

We also strive to keep competitive volleyball affordable and work with families whenever possible to reduce financial barriers. We want competitive volleyball to be an opportunity for all kids, and we understand that it can be difficult financially. We offer free positional trainings and payment plans for all families.

To help families find the right fit, we offer different program options such as our Premier and Extended Seasons in addition to year-round camps/clinics. These give athletes a chance to experience the club, build relationships, and choose the level of commitment that works best for them, with opportunities to continue into longer or more competitive seasons if it’s the right fit. We truly hope that DIVC is the right fit for you and your family.
